Lesson Plan 2: I want, you need
How does this fit into the Framework? Children should learn about rights and responsibilities when making decisions; that pets need to be looked after; that humans have a responsibility to ensure the well-being of animals; and to understand that there is a difference between needs, wants and rights.
Teachers' Note: Split the class into pairs and issue each pair with a copy of this downloaded plan. In their pairs, pupils are to brainstorm ideas for things a dog would need in order to be healthy and happy. They can use the rabbit example as a starting point.
